*hugs fellow spirk shipper* I agree! I’ve never so genuinely believed in a slash couple as much as them either. It’s so pure and authentic and free from gross entertainment business ploys. There’s so much to say about space husbands, we really could go on forever. Ironically, I never thought I’d be shipping the grandfather-ship of all ships until it happened. And it has changed my life for the better.

And a fellow musical nerd is always welcome for me! Musicals are life. Musicals are air. It’s a shame there’s no Star Trek musical yet (but my buddy raoulchristines made a rad edit for a possible one- here).

Why I like them:He's loyal, and strong but he knows when to lean on others. He's always looking ahead but keeps an eye on the present even if it isn't pretty. Jim Kirk is the kind of man you'd want to be next to when shit hits the fan. Also he's just so gosh darn ADORABLE I mean William Shatner was beautious when he was young ohmygosh. 

Why I don’t:He can be a bit overbearing sometimes, a little arrogant at others. He knows he's a good captain, and he can flaunt that. When he doesn't confide in others everything goes tits up. 

Favorite episode (scene if movie): The Trouble with Tribbles, hands down. He was so gosh darn DONE with everything ohmygosh.

Favorite season/movie: Season 2 of Star Trek TOS or Wrath of Khan because heart wrenchingness and his love for Spock gUH.

Favorite "Dig it in there, Mister Spock."

Favorite outfit: The Mirror!Verse outfit sleevlessness ohohoho. Or the green wrap-around Captain's shirt I DON'T CARE IF IT MAKES HIM CHUBBY ITS ADORABLE.

OTP: Spirk. SPIRK.

Favorite Friendship: kirk and Bones (sassing all over the place YES)

Head Canon: He has an incredibly sweet tooth and secretes sweets and chocolate around his quarters and this is endlessly amusing to the rest of the crew (they steal the sweets and replace them because everyone knows where Jim's secret stashes are.)

Unpopular opinion: THE GREEN SHIRT IS THE BEST SHUT UP HE'S ADORABLE WITH A LITTLE PUDGE.

A wish: That the next Star Trek film will involve more tribbles or a reference to Pon Farr
