Martha Washington Balls are a delightful Christmas treat, featuring a rich and creamy chocolate center with the crunch of walnuts and coconut, all coated in a smooth chocolate shell. They make for a perfect holiday indulgence or a lovely gift for loved ones.
Ingredients: 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips. 1 cup sweetened condensed milk. 1/2 cup chopped walnuts. 1/2 cup shredded coconut. 1/2 cup powdered sugar. 1/4 cup unsalted butter. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. Pinch of salt. 2 cups chocolate melting wafers for coating.
Instructions: Sweetened condensed milk and semisweet chocolate chips should be combined in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave the mixture for 30 seconds at a time, stirring after each, until it's smooth and thoroughly mixed. Once everything is well combined, stir in the chopped walnuts, shredded coconut, powdered sugar, unsalted butter, vanilla extract, and a small pinch of salt. After the mixture is firm enough to handle, let it sit in the refrigerator for about an hour. After the mixture has cooled, roll it into little balls and arrange them on a tray covered with parchment paper. The chocolate melting wafers should be melted in 30-second increments in a different microwave-safe bowl until they are smooth. After evenly coating each chocolate ball with melted chocolate, return them to the parchment paper. Give the Martha Washington Balls about thirty minutes to cool and solidify at room temperature. Melted chocolate can be optionally drizzled over the balls to add some decoration. Your Martha Washington Balls are now prepared for consumption once the chocolate has hardened.
