I have fallen completely, totally head-over-heels with hand lettering. There are amazing designers all over the world creating some of the most beautiful, detailed and elaborate hand-lettered works of art. One of these said designers is Martin Schmetzer. Inspiration: Martin Schmetzer

I first came across the work of Martin Schmetzer while scouting for inspiration for an assignment that involved designing packaging for beer. Schmetzer had recently posted a number of beer labels he had designed, which you can view here. His lettering was so inspiring to me, finding his work is one of the things that really sparked my interest in typography.
