đź–¤ The Night I Hated You
by Vince Geronimo | Ormoc City, PH
I loved him more than I loved myself.
Yeah, I was a martyr. I knew it.
I gave him everything — even the parts of me I hadn't healed.
One night, the three of us shared a bed.
Me. Him. And the guy he said was just a friend.
I couldn't sleep.
But the bed started shaking.
They did something… while I was right there.
Like I didn’t exist.
Like I was invisible.
Was that really necessary?
My chest felt so tight I could barely breathe.
So I left. Quietly.
Middle of the night. No goodbye.
I walked until I reached Guadalupe.
Climbed the dark trails, no flashlight, just pain.
And when I reached the top, I let it all out.
“I HATE YOU!”
I screamed so loud I hoped the wind would carry it to him.
To every lie. Every touch that wasn't mine.
To the version of me that still wanted to stay.
And in that scream…
was the first time I started loving myself again.
