The Marubell Company have been selling “promide” (プロマイド, aka “bromide”) photographic portraits of singers, actors and other celebrities since the 1920s. They may not be as popular as they once were, but these days they seem to be going more for their nostalgic appeal.
At their store in Asakusa, Tokyo, you can get these unique promides of Ōsaki Ichibantarō and Nonko.
The shop is in the Asakusa Shin-Nakamise shopping arcade, of which Shin Nyaka (新にゃか, centre in last photo) is the mascot - so gotōchi chara are never too far away. Even if you look at the shop on Google Maps there are photos of Kōta selling his own there.
