Summary: No one ever taught you how to cope with the loss, Namor is there to provide comfort as you work through it.
CW// probably an inaccurate description of the new map, mentions of losing people, grief, comfort, hashtag definitely not projecting shhh

The aquarium is silent other than the quiet music playing through the speakers, a filler for such an empty room. He walks more into the room and over to where you are, on a bench facing the water.
Namor would know better than to ask, but a deep concern that bubbles under his skin disregards any proper thinking. He's worried for you.
He sits down next to you on the bench, turning his head so that he can look at you. You avoid it by continuing to look through the glass and watch the fish swim by, hands pressing together to try and ease the unjustifiable nerves playing about inside of you.
"The ocean is a beautiful place." He mutters, continuing to keep his focus trained on you rather than the water and sea creatures, rather than what he's familiar with.
"Yeah?"
His hand moves, reaching over and resting on top of both of your hands. It's a gentle reminder that you aren't alone, an assurance your mind most definitely needed. Not that you'd say that aloud.
"I'd love to swim with you one day, you could visit my home. You would be treated well there." His thumb runs across your knuckles.
"I... That sounds nice.."
"But?"
He's scared to know what comes next, how you'll reject his offer once more like all the other times. Excuses he knows aren't truthful but with no proof, just a feeling.
"But I just... I'm not good with the ocean." Your gaze finally turns away from the aquarium, opting to lower your head and look down at his hand. One hand intertwines with his. "Or rivers. And ponds. I can't do any of it."
The response knocks the breath out of him for a moment, but he quickly regains his senses. All that he feels concern for your well being, and he will do everything in his power to pick you up.
"And why do you say that? Can you not swim? You need'nt worry, I will carry you." Namor scoots a little closer to your side. "Or is it the fear of no oxygen? There are plenty of solutions for that, I would never let you drown, my love."
A small chuckle comes from you, and for a second he thinks he sees a smile play on your face.
"I wish it was that simple." Your hand tightens its hold on his, the other resting on top of it so his hand is encased in yours.
"What is it my love? Please, I want to help you."
You rest your head on his shoulder.
"I.. I don't have great memories of them, those types of places." The deep breath you take almost concerns him, his hand returning a squeeze to yours in comfort. "Well, not really. They're good memories, with people I love, but I just.." The words get caught in your throat, trying to find the right thing to say. "I don't know."
"Those people aren't with me anymore, for one reason or another. It hurts to be around those places, because all I can think about is them."
He sits and listens, resting his head atop of yours. Your feelings pour out to him, and he listens as you recall stories of the loved ones in your life. It's almost as if he could hear your heart breaking all over again from just thinking about them.
"My love." His hand slides out of your grasp, opting for his arm to rest around your shoulders and pull you into a hug. "You won't be ruining their image by going back. They would want you to enjoy those places, even without them." His hands rub against your back.
"We don't have to go, not until you're ready." Your arms wrap around him as you hide your face against his neck. "I'll be here with you until you are."
A tear falls onto his skin, and he only pulls you closer into the hug.
"Thank you." You hug him tightly, nails digging into his skin slightly to keep a grip.
