Just love all of them
Finally saw Black Widow ... will forever be sobbing over Natasha repeatedly calling the Avengers her family šššš
You know, Iām just sitting here listening to MCU soundtracks while I work, as you do, and Iām just struck once again by how the āCaptain Americaā theme in CA:TWS is so freaking heartbreaking. Thereās nothing quite like it in all the rest of the scores. Itās a perfect pairing to the tragedy of Capās character in that film.
I mean what else am I supposed to do with my toys, really?
You know, rolling my eyes at the fat jokes and āeat a saladā-worst-line-in-the-movie aside... I loved fat Thor.
Because. Sure, they made a joke of it for some comedic relief but... Sometimes when your life is in the tragedy pit of depression and itās all you can do to get out of bed enough to care about beer and pizza and videogames with your friends, you get fat. And you keep living. Youāre still as good of a person as you were before then. You are still doing the best you can even if that best isnāt working out to the unhealthy extreme minimization of bodyfat. Because despite depicting him fat, that fat didnāt really matter - he was still Thor. They never made him act self-conscious or ashamed of his body in the slightest (why should he? he was glorious and godly in any form!) They didnāt try to shoehorn in some crap about him being suddenly less powerful or less capable of being a competent hero than he was before he was grieving. They didnāt magically slim him down again when he decided there was a reason to spend his remaining emotional strength to pick himself back up from his depression and help his friends. He showed up as he was. He wasnāt even one iota less worthy of his hammer because he was fat and his hair a mess. He wasnāt less of a god of thunder. In fact, he even called his younger selfās hammer to HIM. Fat and crying and scraggly and still hanging on and fighting despite having been through all the horrors his younger self couldnāt even imagine.
In endgame Fat Thor is just as worthy, if not more. And thatās not something we get to see very often.
Hey friends whoāve seen Captain Marvel, could you help me real quick with a couple questions?
1. For theaterness, where does it fall:
A) āeh if youāve got a nice sound system and significantly hate going out in crowds, you will be fine waiting to buy it and watch it at home in comfort because the explosions are normal action fun not mind blowingā
B) āZOMG YOU NEED TO FEEL THE VIBRATION OF THE EXPLOSIONS IN THE BIG THEATER SYSTEM!!ā
2. If you saw it in 3D was it super awesome 3D effects or just meh??
