Yes, you can most definitely be my Marvel buddy!! :DI never touched the comics growing up, but Im the same as you, I kinda wish I did. In fact, I only really got into the movies a little over a year ago. I can’t really remember now, but I’m pretty sure I even watched the movies out of order the first time around LOL. Pretty sure I watched Avengers first, then Cap 1, all the Iron Man movies, Winter Solider, then the two Thor movies, and Guardians LOL
