✯ - religious beliefs

grahve is technically andrastian, but she doesnt talk about it

lucy is andrastian, but shed rather worry about her life as it is than if theres an afterlife

mary was raised strict andrastian, but later joined the dalish and was taught their beliefs as well. these vastly different cultures and beliefs caused her to form her own opinions based off of both religions. she believes that both andraste and the elven gods were mortal, and just very powerful mages. while she does believe in the maker in a sense, she rarely speaks about him

aeron gets rather uncomfortable if you ask him about religion, which is a bit odd considering his personality. the truth of the matter is that aeron really doesnt know what to believe, and at the same time the idea of believing in nothing at all terrifies him

lucy kind of hates it after everything that went down in kirkwall

mary believes that it has its place, but it needs drastic change and should not be anywhere near as powerful and influential as it is

if you ask aeron about this, hell say its “something for the big hats to worry about”, though he himself believes that mages should be free, and that the chantry should accept all races

mary can read and write the common tongue and the bits of elven that the dalish know. by the end of inquisition shes also learned to read and write orlesian

aeron can read and write the common tongue, some qunlat his parents taught him [just in case], and he knows some orlesian from being a mercenary

grahve started as a commoner, but technically became nobility?? i guess

lucy was technically nobility in kirkwall all along, but a commoner in ferelden

mary was a commoner, became dalish, then became the inquisitor?? uh. shes kinda surpassed nobility in a sense

aeron usually ends up practicing throwing daggers when he has a spare moment. he also plays a lot of wicked grace

on some level, grahve regrets killing all the people she did in denerim, trying to escape and rescue the other elven girls. she knows that she had no choice, and that they deserved it, but shed never killed anyone before that day

lucy would be choking out “forgive me” over and over through a mouthful of blood

mary would be crying, as a quiet, broken “I don’t want to die” slips out through her sobs

[ive been on the fence for forever on whether i want specific dates for my characters ages, so heres these approximations?? i guess??]

grahve was born in the fall, around 9:11 dragon. she was about 19 when the blight started

lucy was born in winter, around 9:9 dragon [fuck the canon timeline, i do what i want] she was about 21 when the blight started, and 28 during the kirkwall rebellion

mary was born in the spring, somewhere between 9:17-9:21. shes in her 20s when the conclave explodes

aeron was also born in winter, in 9:14 dragon. hes 27 when the conclave explodes

mary has a ridiculous amount of hobbies, she sews, she sings, she reads, hell she even collects stuff in her spare time. she has a pretty neat little collection of unique swords by the end of inquisition

♞ - a time they’ve felt powerful:

when mary successfully charmed the court at halamshiral and publicly exposed the duchess. it felt amazing to beat florianne at her own game, so to speak

☺ - something they’re proud of:

aeron is very proud of himself, actually. he may be a giant horned guy but most people will admit that he has excellent features

☹ - something they regret:

on some level aeron will always regret leaving the valo-kas mercenarys. he doesnt regret joining the inquisition in the slightest, but hed been with that group a long damn time, and after he left a lot of them got killed

lucy technically isnt married, though in reality her & fenris practically are anyways. honestly, its unlikely theyd even bother to have a ceremony

mary is in fact married to cullen as of trespasser, which to her is absolutely incredible. shes an apostate, an elf, and has always been an outcast wherever she went, so shed always thought as marriage as something for other people. in her wildest dreams she never thought someone would ask for her hand

♟ - a time they’ve felt powerless:

lucy has spent most her life since the blight feeling powerless. she felt useless when bethany died, when her brother left, and especially when her mother died. her whole life her one responsibility was to take care of her family, and she was too weak to do so

the first time mary felt completely powerless was when her family finally turned her in to the templars. she was only a girl with magic she didnt fully understand, and there was no way out. if she stayed she thought shed be killed or dragged off to the circle, and if she ran shed be killed by bears or starvation, or the templars might just catch her anyway. in the end she decided to take her chances, and escaped into the woods with her few belongings
