“I’ll be here. I’ll keep fighting.”- @marycatmathis (2018, photographer) . . . It’s sad and hopeful at the same time. But more importantly it’s a true testament to women and minorities. We will ALWAYS still be here. We will ALWAYS keep fighting. Even if it is the same fight that has been fought for decades.
And to any of you who don’t understand why we would keep going after years and years of failure/not enough progress. We will continue to fight because WE ARE HERE. Just existing gives us the reason to fight. . . . I’ll end with these:
“Forward out of error. Leave behind the night. Forward out of darkness. Forward into light.” Inez Miliholland (1918, Suffragette)
“If Congress refuse to listen to and grant what women ask, there is but one course left then to pursue. What is there left for women to do but to become the mothers of the future government?” —Victoria Claflin Woodhull (1872, first female presidential nominee)
