It was rare for the high schooler to have some free time in her busy schedule. The demands of the student council, coupled with her part-time job, had taken a large chunk of her schedule. And so, Eli had decided to take a train to the quiet side of Vairos. It was an overnight trip at most, and she had given her family such short notice that the girl felt a tad guilty for making such sudden plans.
Rather than dwell on these thoughts, she shook her head and boarded the train. Much to her surprise, it was near full. Strange. Perhaps there was some sort of reason-- ah, rush hour. People were probably commuting home from work. No matter. There was an empty seat up ahead, and she was lucky to have boarded when she did.
As she approached, she noticed a boy of roughly her age. His physical characteristics were rather striking. Albinism? That was rare indeed. Oh, but it was rude to stare, and she had certainly been standing there in silence for more than a polite amount of time.
“Excuse me, but is this seat taken?”
