Oh my gosh :( I'm really glad you're being kept on though!

I’m glad but I also feel really guilty, because not everyone got offered this chance. And it’s not happening for a few months, so things are just going to kind of hang in the air until then I guess? It’s really odd.

I need to kinda get my life straight before this goes into effect, because I spend a ton of time alone already--adding basically my entire job to that extra alone time will not be good for my mental health, so something will have to change.

Ahhhh thank you!! And for asking about Rheom! I haven’t finished their character profile yet, so FYI they’re a nonbinary Taush scavenger, and they’re wonderful. :’D

microscope: zoom in -- describe the little, insignificant details about an OC.

They’ve got little scars all over their body, but not due to anything crazy dangerous, or any major events. Taush are such hearty people and so generally unafraid that they just kind of let falling rocks hit them, or jump off of something instead of climbing down, or grab something with their bare hands instead of using gloves. 80 percent of Rheom’s many scars are on their hands, ‘cause they’re the WORST about that, and they’re always dealing with scrap metal and stripped wires.)

They keep crap-tons of ribbons tied around their wrists, so they always have something to put up their hair. They’re used to a pretty windy environment, and being without something to tie their hair into a bun/ponytail would be disastrous. Bonus: the ribbons function double as ornamentation (they have a lot of different colors of ribbon, specifically for that reason.)

They never make their bed.

Their favorite flower is a beautiful purple bloom that can be loosely translated as “razorblossom,” an invasive plant that took over the valley in which they lived when they were young, but just smelled so pretty Rheom fell in love. They were the best weeder in town, ‘cause they were always out picking flowers. (Spoilers: They use “razorblossom” as a pet name for Rory eventually, and it makes Rory feel both dangerous and beautiful, which is nice, though he has no idea what a razorblossom is.)

They’re vegetarian. 

They will wear the same outfit 100 days in a row if no one sees them in it. Once someone does see it, they won’t wear it again for MONTHS. Keepin’ it fresh.

I could probably go on, but this is already a lot! Haha! I love Rheom so much -- thank you for asking about them!! I hope I can actually finish their full profile this week!

It’s been SO LONG since I posted this ask game, sorry!!! Finally catching up! Bloop = fact about an OC! Here we go! <3

I’m so excited about the way the bloops worked out!! I’ve done one for each of my protagonists except Rheom, so it’s Rheom’s turn! <3

As I mentioned in their profile, Rheom stole the ship they were given as a patroller, so they’ve been living in this one-person cruiser for like three years. As such, they’ve fucked it up in true rock star fashion and made it entirely their own. They carved their name into the wall, along with tons of doodles and random patterns. They picked up a bunch of rocks on a bunch of planets they’ve visited, and have them scattered all over the place. They’ve patched up the sheets with whatever fabric they’ve been able to scavenge from old-as-shit crashed Taush vessels, and hammered on some augments to make the ship go faster, make the guns more powerful, etc. It’s a total mess, and they love it.

october: name the darkest or angstiest fic you have written and/or posted?

This is a tough one! I don’t much do dark when it comes to fanfiction, tbh! I’ve got some really dark stories in my Write Drunk, Edit Never flash fiction series, but as far as fanfic goes? I think Paper Tigers, the one I’m working on now, is probably the darkest due to the political turmoil and the war and all. But Sha Ka Ree might be the angstiest ‘cause well..... I do love me some Big Feels. Hahaha!
