Mei
Mei’s a complicated one, and I’ve done headcanons for him before so I’ll try and cover new stuff
He’s awkward, and full of false bravado
Before you get together, he tries to emulate the people he sees as suave and cool; Carlos and Masa
He knows he can’t be cool and mysterious like Masa, and he can’t pull off the cool guy persona Carlos has
And to no one's surprise, it crashes and burns, but that moment of vulnerability leads you to giving him a chance
Invoking your name helps wrangle him, he is so whipped
Has actually complained that you’re as important to him as baseball and he doesn’t know what to do
The first to say i love you, and it’s completely planned out
It’s errand day, and he asks you to join him because you wanted to see the stuff he buys
The only time Mei has ever been cool in this relationship
“It means a lot to me that you’re interested in this stuff, it’s part of why I love you.”
He doesn’t look away from whatever he’s looking at, partly because he’s terrified and partly because he’s embarrassed
Gets moody if you don’t have lunch with him, this is still Mei after all
Also very jealous, though he’ll deny the hell out of it.
Carlos
He’s a flirt, as in he constantly flirts with you
And if you flirt back? He’s super happy
Doesn’t fluster easily
Just, asks you out– nothing fancy, just asks you to have lunch with him alone
Mei is, of course, offended that he’s being abandoned but is also nosy as hell and bombardes him with questions later
Likes to brag about you, brings you up at every chance he can
Shirakawa is sick of it, Mei pretends to be sick of it but he’s secretly really invested
Baseball is the most important thing to him, but you’re a very close second– so he likes to combine the two
Like has you hold his feet, even though he doesn’t need you too, so when he sits up he can kiss you while working out
You say I love you first, probably in a “why do I love you way”
“Aw, damn, you beat me to it.”
Who knows if he’s jealous, he’s clingy and flirty anyways so if he is jealous his behaviour doesn’t change
He’s faster than you, probably, but challenges you to races and lets you win because your laughter as you accuse him is nice
Shirakawa
I have also done headcanons for Shirakawa before, so I’ll try and tread new ground
You have weekly study meetings that slowly turn into study dates
He never officially asks you out, you either have to asks him what you are or just come to the conclusion yourself
If you ask, he’ll answer even though he doesn’t like spelling out what he feels is obvious
Just goes to show how much he loves you
He’s private about your relationship, Mei and Carlos are offended he didn’t tell them about you
Surprisingly, is the first to say I love you in a rare moment of insecurity
You’re just having lunch, and there’s another couple being all touchy and gooey and he wonders if you ever wish he did stuff like that
“I love you. Don’t look at me like that, I feel fine.”
Is the jealous type, it’s one of the few times he initiates PDA
Wraps an arm around you and just stands there, waiting
If someone flirts with him he ignores them, and if they don’t go away he announces he has a partner and tells them to fuck off
Seeing you at games is his favorite moment, but he will die before he tells anyone
Masatoshi
Mei calls you his parents when he’s annoyed with Masa
Also complains to you when Masa tells him off and stuff
You have to ask Masa out, even if he likes you he will not think to ask you out
He’s a busy guy and doesn’t think he can balance a relationship, so you guys have to be really close already
When he goes to run errands, he asks you to join him and you stop for lunch or at a cafe
You’re kind of like an old married couple, partly because you’ve known each other for so long
Tells you he loves you first, he’s tired and it kind of just slips out
“Thanks for lending me your notes. Goodnight, I love you.”
The secret jealous type, you might think he’s too mature for jealousy but no
No, he gets jealous of people who spend a lot of time with you
He feels bad! So he kind of follows you around like a lost puppy, pretending he just doesn’t have anything else to do
Has stood outside the bathroom if he can’t follow you in
Gets embarrassed if you call him out on it
Itsuki
Depends on if this is first or second year Itsuki
First year Itsuki is more awkward with his confession, second year Itsuki is more confident
Both give you a confession letter, face to face
Mei teases the fuck out of him, Carlos congratulates him for his confidence
Your relationship is sweet, and stalked by Mei
I’m sorry, you cannot convince me Mei isn’t invested in everyone’s love lives
Speaking of Mei, Itsuki tests all his jokes on you
Who says I love you first? You, and it flusters the hell out of Itsuki
“Ah, I- I love you too… Please stop, it’s embarrassing.”
Turns red and covers his face, second year or not
It makes him really happy when you come to practice or games, he’s a little more stubborn with Mei when you’re there
A little jealous, but tries not to bother you with it because he thinks it’s silly
Generally gets jealous for the same reasons as Masa, and also when Mei flirts with you even though he only flirts with you to bother Itsuki
