sakura-chan to amane-kun / sakura-chan & amane-kun [AL / MU]

the closest to t4t f x m i have ever found iirc (after hourou musuko completely murdered that plot 😔). amane-kun is an explicit trans boy and sakura-chan is a questioning(?) cross-dressing "boy". it's too bad there's only a handful of chapters and has been on hiatus for ages.

i really like this one. guy loses a bet and has to cross-dress out and about and not only scores a hottie who cross-dresses herself, but also gains a liking to it and keeps doing out of his own will. not t4t, but i tag it as ambiguously genderqueer. she is very suave and manly and he is pretty feminine in a regular-girl refreshing kind of way.

Akira Tsubakiya has spent her whole life being told she looks like a boy. She’s super tall, she has a flat chest, and she’s not girly at all… In middle school, she made a promise with a boy who went to her cram school, Haru— a promise that they both would aim to get into the same high school, a prestigious academy. Haru told Akira that he likes girls with long hair, and since she started to fall for him, she grew it out. Now she’s graduating from middle school, and has decided to confess her feelings to Haru. Unfortunately, she finds out that he has a girlfriend—a super-cute, girly, long-haired girlfriend! Akira runs home and chops off all her hair, deciding that there’s no point to trying to be girly. Fast forward to Akira’s first year in high school. She still wears a skirt, but she wears the top half of the guys’ uniform to school. She’s called “Prince Akira”, and all the girls are infatuated with her. Akira hasn’t seen Haru in a while, but she does bump into Haru’s “girlfriend”… who she discovers to be in fact a boy!

you can absolutely read neiro as genderqueer, he cross-dresses because he wants to and feels beautiful like that. one more amazing thing is that while akira has the plot of low self-esteem girl who thinks she can't be feminine or smth, by the end when neiro says he loves her as she is and she doesn't need to change, she actually stays boyish and princely!! when has that ever happened 😭

fake t4t tbh. i haven't completed yet because i read it back when there were ~40 chapters out, but i remember i didn't really enjoy it (my tastes are a bit particular though, it's perfectly possible to enjoy this one i suppose). the characters start cross-dressing, but i'm pretty sure they end very normative and "liberated" because they don't have to conceal their cisgender-ness, so do with that what you will 🙄

A romantic comedy between a prince-type girl and a girl-faced boy.

yeah so there's not anything that fem about this guy except for his face and i guess the fact that his girlfriend doms him.... but maybe that scratches the itch? hhahaa oh and despite what the summary says, i don't think this is that much RomCom, some of the attitudes can get quite extreme and the angst quite heavy (which is all pretty tonally off and sudden imo, but i still enjoy reading this i suppose sjnkjsnkn)

dansou kareshi ga kanojo ni himitsu o akasu hanashi / a boyfriend(♀) in boy's clothing reveals her secret [MU]

a cross-dressing girl needs to tell her girlfriend that she's a girl and not a boy, and then finds out her girlfriend is a boy. this is just a quick doujinshi one shot, but they're not only 2 genuine cross-dressers, they're bi4bi too so 🙂

Mizuki is the female "prince" of her all-girls school and the lead guitarist in an all-girl rock band. Akira is the male "princess" of his all-boys school and wants to join her band. When the lead singer of Blaue Rosen announces she is moving overseas, Akira does all he can to convince Mizuki and her bandmates to let him join. But will a resistant Mizuki allow him into her band, much less her heart?

i read this a really long time ago and i didn't like it back then and i don't remember enough to re-avaliate that now 💀 i do remember that it disappointed me that he was so manly/dominant and she was so shygirl in the body of a school prince, but that's just personal preference haha

i have no idea what the hell is going on with that summary jsnksnkj the gist of it is that a cross-dressing boy gets romantic advances from a guy who turns out to be a girl. the kick in the balls is the usual: the girl yearns for femininity and stop "having to be manly".

despite the synopsis, the actual romance turns out to be between the main character and a cross-dresser(?) girl

full disclosure though: i don't like this manga. the ending also has both of them stop cross-dressing (the girl especially becomes very feminine)

Kuji Akira and Ninomiya Makoto are childhood friends and neighbors. Since Akira is “handsome” for a girl and Makoto is “pretty” for a boy, their gender presentation is often confused. As they try to untangle their complex feelings about themselves and each other, they find out their friends are crushing on them, too. It’s a complicated childhood friend love story!

as you can see from the covers...another good concept pretty much tossed. i didn't get to the end of this one yet (though i had read a good chunk). only recently the rest of the manga was posted on bato and the more time passes the more distaste i harbor for it hauhuah this comment pretty much sums it up:

read this one again for this and it's worse than i remember. ig if the summary didn't clue you in... this has some pretty offensive aspects (and they don't even get together in the end even though they both want to). the guy who crossdresses loves to seduce men and gets off on their face when they find out he's a guy. something i'd be more willing to forgive if it wasn't an egregious notion many people still hold against trans women. one more thing is that even though the girl at the start is wearing masculine casual clothing, she also says in the story she's only dressing as a boy at work because the manager asked. it's possible to see this as bi4bi but before meeting each other both only were into guys. anyway, this story is just not worth it. but it exists, so i guess i'm listing it.

at the beginning of this manga, they both firmly thought the other person (in their 'off-work' get up) was the opposite sex (and had some kind of crush on them anyway. maybe it's a bit ambiguous, but i do consider them both bi - especially the guy). there are a few instances that the 'punk girl' dresses in ways that are a bit more feminine, but i think it still lies on that gray zone that visual kei fashionistas consider androgyny.

walmart kaisha to shiseikatsu 😐 not to mention the girl only dresses like that because it's the same special brand of her favorite idol's clothes. tbh i don't think this is a good manga.

kasane to subaru / kasane & subaru [MAL / AL / MU]

Kasane Shibata, a graphic designer at a toy development company, was feeling troubled. It began when she accidentally touched the buttocks of her colleague, Subaru Enokida. Kasane was intrigued, as Enokida's butt felt like the costume of her favorite character. But at the same time, she couldn't shake the feeling that she might have made Enokida felt uncomfortable. Enokida said that he didn't mind, but his face looked frightened and distressed… "I have to apologize properly!" Kasane thought to herself, not knowing Enokida was hiding something himself…

this is only tangential to what you're after 😭 he is a cross-dresser and she is a pretty tomboyish/androgynous kinda girl and that is reflected on her choice of clothing. not really a crossdresser but maybe this counts in some way?

this is crazy but this is all i've got!! &most of them don't even keep them crossdressing all the way through. manga involving these themes usually only likes to have one of them out of the mold and the other a 'normal person' not to alienate the cishetero audience.... (or at least have plenty of scenes of them in 'normal clothes') i'll check some tags on mangaupdates later, but damn this is so sad :\ hope you manage to find at least one thing to your liking though 😭

OU NO KEMONO / 王の獣 / THE KING’S BEAST by Touma Rei / 藤間麗 • chapter 12

I hope this is not an inappropriate ask (if it is, feel free to not post), but, do you by chance know any manga with female having an auto crossdressing/trap kink? I don't know if use the right terms, I haven't actually searched for that yet, but basically, a girl that enjoys being mistaken for a boy, without her being an actual trans male, or wanting to be a boy, something like this. Emphasis on mistaken, i.e. passing as male, not just roleplaying with her partner who know she's female

that sounds like a DREAM of a manga and probably one of my many white whales. i honestly don't know anything like it, but i would kill for such a manga. the closest scenario i know to what you're describing is a female character who seems neutral-to-positive towards cross-dressing or male fashion/styling. it's never portrayed as a kink or even just a kind of gender presentation euphoria. many of the masculine-leaning girls who wear boy's clothes that i know (which are not many) simply seem to regard that as a lax don't-care-what-i-wear behavior and when in a situation to dress up will choose to wear typically feminine clothing because that is seen as "putting an effort and being cute".

the only ONLY situation i've ever seen of a girl glad she was seen more like a boy was one joke in the manga gekkan shoujo nozaki-kun (monthly girls' nozaki-kun) [MAL / AL / MU] by kashima yuu (who is not the Main MAIN character, mind you, but still an important part of the cast). she showed up to school on pants that day to celebrate how her voice seemed lower and raspy because she was kind of sick. she usually wears skirts though (but her casual clothing is male fashion, though i've never seen her trying to pass as a boy again).

there is a character in hourou musuko (wandering son) [MAL / AL /MU] who identified as a trans boy for a while but then went back to being a girl at some point. i never finished this story, but at the start passing as a guy was naturally really important to them and there is a chance they kept that sentiment to the end. they do let their hair grow longer again so i really don't know.

the only other character who actually seems to want to cross-dress that i know is hazuki from ikemen joshi to josou danshi (handsome girl and cross-dressing boy) [MAL / AL / MU]. at some point she does wear a typically feminine bikini (and maybe some other clothes too, i don't really remember) 'for some reason' even though she crossdresses on a daily basis (kashima from gekkan shoujo nozaki-kun and sou from itoko no ko both have more gender neutral swimwear that matches their personal style so that was a deliberate choice)

every other character either seems to not care and have some transformative moment of 'finally dressing as a girl', or have some complex about their own choice to cut their hair off and dress in masculine fashion.

i'm holding out hope that i'll get something good in the manga goukon ni ittara onna ga inakatta hanashi (how i attended an all-guys' mixer) [MAL / AL / MU], but it will probably not be anything close to a kink since it's a light comedy slice of life series as far as i know.

if anyone knows anything that fits please PLEASE let us know and i'll go running to check it out
