Maschine 2 tip of the day "Resizing the window" and First thoughts
Resizing window for easier viewing.
In maschine 2 Standalone we have a couple options under menu go to view and select small, medium, large, or fullscreen. You also can drag from corners to make it any size you want. Since full screen only use one screen. I have dual monitors and can drag so maschine fills up both.
And in a DAW (I mainly use Ableton live 9) you go to Maschine menu then view and can select small,medium and large. no full screen or dragging from edges to make bigger. I hope they change this as i use kontakt a lot and love the option to drag to size I want.
I would be using maschine even without update. My first thoughts on 2.0 are great. The layout of everything is great. Love the new browser.Maschine 2.0 the mixer section is great to be able to see how things are routed The one little problem is the tagging part of browser it doesnt have alot of run for names. And i personally for a log time have made it a priority to keep name short so they show on controller without being truncated.The way the mixer works and to really have more flexibility in routing audio and midi. The midi routing might be something people overlook. We now can do more advanced midi routing to and from maschine in a daw. So we can easily route midi from a pattern back to the daw. We can set u a group to play a drum rack in ableton or any Daw. Ill explain in detail in another post very soon. Either way lots of good stuff. My two small complaints would not being able to resize browser and Dont like tagging section. But i can tag in 1.82 then import folder to 2.0 and there are my tags using the old tag browser.
