WELL TBH.. THATS BASICALLY WHAT FUCKING HAPPENED
i unfortunately dont have access to the presentation but the gist of what i remember is that it was more of a spoken word poem that we were supposed to set to visuals, and so i chose to talk about “colorblindness” (with regards to race ofc) and wrote a really emotional poem that impacted me a lot more than i expected
couple that with some very racist imagery, pictures of black people who had been killed (this was during the wake of the ferguson protests so there were pictures of michael brown and trayvon martin and other black victims in the slideshow), and nina simones “strange fruit” playing? yeah it was a fucking done deal lmao
