If you've never tried cooking #taro , you are certainly missing out on some serious deliciousness! I've cooked it in numerous ways, but in this instance, I'm showing you #mashedtaro - they are every bit as good as mashed potatoes... ...In my opinion, they're even better. Wearing disposable gloves to handle the raw #taroroot , wash & peel. Cut into large chunks & add to salted pot of water. Bring to a boil, turn down to a simmer & cook to just knife tender. Strain, mash & season with sea salt, black pepper & butter, as desired. Add what you like to this basic foundation, but delicious all on its own. Where did I get this taro from? Well, it came in our #SmallScaleFarms #freshproduce box #subscription delivered right to our doorstep! If you live in #Niagara through #Hamilton , use my referral link for $20 off your first curbside pickup produce box (I get $10 credit too - thank you): https://tinyurl.com/SmallScaleFarms * Subscribe to #cookingwithkimberly - http://cookingwithkimberly.com #webchefkimberly #cooking https://www.instagram.com/p/CLNkGJ0D6B1/?igshid=g5i4s31b6yeu
