she should make friends ; it's what her therapist told her. that isolating herself wouldn't make anything easier for her. maeve, personally, disagreed with the advice she received. opening up to people could kill her, actually. as far as she's concerned, it almost did. but, considering that she didn't want to hear her dad's complaints about how she wasn't even trying, she decided to go to this little group. one leg crosses over the other, glancing over at the woman next to her. a breath is inhaled, forcing herself to seem less anxious. ❛ hey, i'm maeve. ❜

Lawrence made a sound of consideration in the back of his throat, nodding his head along a few times, "Mm, yes, I know that tune..." He commented with a knowing look. "But just because things change, it doesn't actually make the past any less true. Now does it?" He gave a weary sigh, "The past makes us what we are. For better or worse." Lawrence scrunched his nose remorsefully, "Usually worse. Unfortunately." He grumbled to himself more than to Julie. Then, louder, he insisted, "Humor me? Not a whole story then, just one thing. One detail about who you were before all this?"

GLASSES   ARE   GRABBED   OFF   THE   GROUND   WITHIN   TREMBLING   HANDS   AND   PUT   BACK   ONTO   HIS   FACE.         another   day,   another   day   of   being   the   town's   personal   punching   bag.   how   his   hands   trembled   in   the   anger   he   felt   roiling   beneath   his   skin.   he   wanted   to   lash   out,   but   he   knew   it   would   only   make   it   worse   for   him.   so   much   worse   than   it   already   was.

         there's   an   exhausted   sigh.   finger   wiped   at   the   blood   upon   his   cheek.   there   was   probably   more   upon   his   face,   but   this   was   the   only   bit   he   felt.   then   his   head   suddenly   turned.   he   found   himself   looking   at   a   girl   who   was   looking   back   at   him.   ❝ Take   another   fucking   shot.   .   .   I   know   you   wanna.   Most   people   don't   want   to   miss   the   chance   to   take   a   shot   at   a   monster.   ❞
