Some of you may know @/rainoverthewindow! They’ve done a lot of art for a bunch of different fandoms like TLoZ, Pokemon, FNAF, Professor Layton, etc.
⚠️ They just lost their account to a scammer.
To put it simply, I know @/rainoverthewindow irl and I was there when it happened.
⚠️ The scammer acted as if they had accidentally reported the @/rainoverthewindow account, and proceeded to convince my friend to speak to a fake Tumblr support representative, give away personal information, and then they took over the account. THEY ALSO TRIED TO GET BANKING INFORMATION.
I’m writing this on behalf of @/rainoverthewindow, as they can now no longer access any of their accounts. They want to warn their followers to be wary of any odd messages from their account during this time!! Also, to spread awareness so that this doesn’t happen to anyone else.
@/rainoverthewindow is trying their best to get their accounts back at this time. It’s possible they will have to make a new account altogether. If this does happen, please continue to support them! In the meantime, they can be found on Instagram @/sharpes_masque.

Given that the actual account is compromised, I am not directly tagging the account, nor am I interacting with the posts on the account, so this is the only way I and @/rainoverthewindow can reach out to their followers.
