After making widespread enquiries, she presented to our hospital for management. Imaging studies including a 3D CT were obtained in our hospital and revealed that she had bony hypertrophy at the gonial angles as well as excess masseter muscle mass. Treatment planning was explained to her and she consented to surgery. Hypertrophic bone at the gonial angle was reduced using burrs and excess masseter muscle was excised. This resulted in adequate softening of her facial appearance.
