Wins of the week:

-Finishing the outline of my novel

-Finishing The Perishing by Natashia Deón (counting it as research for my own novel)

-Starting my 0 draft on Wednesday (and not getting to work on it since)!!! 😭

I have so many favorite lines/passages from The Perishing that I'll probably share here tomorrow. My next "for research" book is Homegoing by Yaa Gyasi I hope it's good. Also, see attached for something cool.

I've been going through this blog and found that every time I decide to return, I apologize. I'm not going to do that anymore—no one's really active on here these days anyway. However, what I am going to do is start using this space as a drafting diary of sorts for the project I'm currently working on. In the past week, I've finalized the plot of my story (for the purposes of my zero draft, at least) and am planning to start my zero draft next week. I'm thinking I'll try to post updates on Fridays; hopefully it sticks. Happy writing and I'll see you next Friday!
