4 Wakes up in someone's lap as a hand idly strokes their head their purring stopping
“This seems so familiar” they think to themselves 4 lifting their head a little as a hand pushes it back down gently.
“ssh it's alright little one” a voice says softly stroking their head gently as they realize they've been purring
“W-Hat?” They stutter out looking up confused as the familiar octoling looks at them with a soft sorry smile
“That Smile....” they think to themself trying to look at her Face ,her Eyes covered by her Bangs as the octoling continues petting them “you should go back to bed”
Her soft gentle voice whispers to them as a wave of exhaustion hits they lower their head back down into her lap
“that's it” she says softly as 4 nestles in her soft wool sweater listening to her heart beat as a pang of sadness hits and they speak unknowingly
“But I- I don't want to leave you” they say feeling tears roll down their face “It won't be for long I promise Inky.”
The familiar octoling says softly rubbing their back reassuringly the Familiar name ringing loudly “You Pinky Promise” they say softly
“I pinky promise” she says softly smiling sadly wiping a tear from their eye “Ive never broken a promise Have I?” She says softly smiling at them reassuringly “I’ll miss you” they mutter falling back asleep a faint sad “I’ll miss you too” being heard as a peck that felt like a breeze brushed their head before they fell back asleep the dream long forgotten.
