The evolution of the speed squares I’ve carried. Left: Entering the trade, standing in @canadiantire looking at the wall of tools deciding what to fill my bags with and thought, “This one is only $7, perfect!” And for marking cuts for blocks, sills, backing it was. . Middle: Move forward maybe a year an I could see the benefit of scribes so back to the tool wall I went. My jaw nearly hit the floor upon seeing the $28 price tag. I debated not getting it. Turns out it was worth it. . Right: The @martineztools speed square has been in my bags for the past week while laying out apartment walls. I have yet to play with it on pitches and its features already shine. It was designed by a carpenter for a carpenter.
