heey i'm gonna do one if these headcanon things (if that's okay) spencer+weekends and spencer+pop culture. thanks!
i’m not so good with reid things so if these are crap i’m sorry
weekends
since the ways he spends his downtime are rarely constrained by time slots, he doesn’t generally mind too much when they end up working a case through the weekend.
He’s irritated when he misses conventions and film festivals, though.
Really, he almost got to meet Tom Baker and they ended up in Ohio.
He generally only play his keyboard on weekends to save his neighbours the noise in the work week.
pop culture
Despite what the team thinks, he’s actually not that bad with it. You tend to pick up information when you go to conventions and have an eidetic memory.
Admittedly, he does tend to be uninformed with new popular music. He rarely puts the radio on himself and doesn’t search for the music to listen to, so he generally only hears it if somebody else on the team are playing the songs. Emily’s like of cheesy music had left him with some knowledge of chipper 80’s girl bands, though. And Ke$ha, but he doesn’t like to talk about that. ( [x] )
He’s also pretty good at translating abbreviations. tbh and idk are pretty obvious when used in a sentence, but s2g was a little more difficult to reason out. Him and Alex have conversations about the abbreviations in a linguistic sense.
one day him and Garcia want to go to comicon together. The proper one in San Diego. Prentiss found out and wants to tag along too.
masterfulmoriarty replied to your post: so i was in a discussion with a girl c...
I don’t know if it’s necessarily for you to tell her parents, but I would at least talk to the other girl and make sure she’s alright. Then talk to the bully and try to explain why it’s not okay, and if that doesn’t work you should tell her parents
I can't, it's an online discussion. the other person has logged off. I tried: lookie
her: And the cow is failing hard.
me: "Cow"? Wtf
her: Do you have a problem with me calling the fat bitch a cow?
Well get over it. "Ashtyn" needs to learn her place is in the pastures not in the comment section.
me: Yes I do have a problem with that. You are not in any way entitled to insult Ashtyn for her opinion. Why not just answer her with your own arguments like an adult would do, instead of calling her a cow? I think "bullying" is the correct term for what you just did.
and now she's not replying haha.
do you mind if i use one of your reid icons? also, i love your blog!!
Absolutely, go ahead! The icons are free to use, no credit is needed, although it is greatly appreciated. Haha!
yeah, i really like that one. super unique. no one else uses it.
Thanks, above average intelligence lamp! Speaking of pet names I also like that left shoe that sometimes tell a half-funny joke to an empty room, I feel like it really catches your vibe.
can you explain to a humble american such as myself what is eurovision?? (that's what it's called right?)
Of course darling! It's the Eurovision Broadcasting Union, but I'm guessing you want to know about the EUROVISION SONG CONTEST, which we call eurovison (or esc) for short.
It started in 1956, and since then there has been one every year. All of Europe and Russia (which is kinda Europe) and Israel for some reason (they were invited to participate some time in the seventies) participate.
It's a huge party that starts back in every country where they typically host a competition to find the best singer to represent their country. In Denmark we call this the Melody Grand-prix. Some times the national tv stations choose the participant instead.
Then later there is the Eurovision Song Contest. There are two semi-finals and then the grand final. The country who won the year before (DENMARK!!!) hosts the next year so this year it's in our capital Copenhagen (København). Denmark is also automatically qualified for the final along with the BIG FIVE. The big five is ENGLAND, SPAIN, ITALY, GERMANY and FRANCE because if they don't get in the final they turn into little bitches and won't watch the show. Also they are the ones who pay most money (I think).
The final is today, and there are 26 countries. Every contestant sing a song and then we all vote. The votes are split between the viewers and a jury of fancy people who know stuff about music. You can't vote for your own country so everyone votes for their neighbours instead "because neighbours have similar music tastes". Then everyone sings again and the final winner is announced. You can receive max twelve points.
There is a lot of culture surrounding Eurovision. It's pretty huge in the gay community, but there are a lot of people who travels to the host country every year and parties for several days.
Basically it's an excuse to dress in silly and extravagant costumes and sing pop songs for your national pride.
TLDR All of Europe (and Israel) dress up and song-battle for almost a week. If you win, you get to promote (or make fun of) your country for the whole world.
salut, ma chérie! ça va? comment tu aimes le jour de langue à tumblr? est-ce que tu parle des langues? évidemment, je parle un peu de français. (ou je essaye). (if you don't understand french, fair warning, google translate is probably gonna butcher this)
Hello Sweetie, I'm quite all right thank you. I'd say my tumblr-language-day-experience was just realising how much I do not understand French (though I sort of got this message). Ud over det kan jeg klage over, at der ingen danskere er på tumblr, så jeg har slet ikke haft nogen at snakke med på dansk. Villeicht solte ich Deutsch aufprobieren? Aber ich spreche wirklich schlect Deutsch. Is language-day over now? Will there ever be a sequel?
