Feathers and Masteries
I don’t know much about Native American culture, but I do know that those feathers in their hair are signs of accomplishment, usually in battle. I propose that modern American wix use them to show mastery in a subject. That is, a Charms Master or Runes Mistress would wear a feather in their hair. The rare double master would have two feathers.
I also remember reading somewhere that feathers standing straight up are signs of aggression, while having them lay back against the hair was a sign of peace. What if the feathers are enchanted to display emotion, specifically anger. If the wix is angry, the feather(s) would go vertical. If they calmed down, they’d go limp again. If you saw a wix with vertical feathers, you’d best back off or try to calm them down, because a master in just about any subject is a badass, and you don’t want to piss off a badass.
Smite Confession
I hide my masteries because I’m afraid that people will criticize me if I do bad with one of my mains.
Okay for the asshole chef mastery:
- You’re on a timer (duh) - Correct ingredients gives you more time, missing just keeps the clock running, throwing the wrong ingredients costs you extra time. - He always makes the same loop around the kitchen, no matter what he asks for. Memorize it, it’ll cut down on running around like a wet chicken. - Either try to chase him to a stopping point or wait for him to get there. It’ll cost you a couple seconds, but if you try to throw while he’s moving, you will miss because he’s a fast sumbitch and that’ll cost you worse because you only get one toss before you have to run back for more of the ingredient. - The speed boost is your friend. Use it every time he asks for something on the other end of the room. - It takes ten ingredients to get the mastery. - Even though you won’t be able to hurt him because he’s a green NPC, swinging a weapon at his head every time you lose is cathartic.
I wish I could opt to hide my masteries on load in because I hate people expecting me to be perfect when they see I have mastery. I am still prone to having bad games/making bad plays. Hell, sometimes I haven’t played the champ in months and I decide to play them again, so I’ll be rusty and therefore not play like a pro. Masteries really don’t give much of an indication.

24/4, over 200 CS, a quadra kill, participated in towers, drakes, Rift Herald, Baron, towers, inhibs, and Nexus, warded like a motherfucker... You'd think I deserve my next m7 token, right? NOPE, I DIDN'T EVEN GET AN S. To hell with the mastery system. What more do I have to do???

Does it bother anyone else that the highest mastery you can get on a champion is 7? Like, IDK 7 is just a weird number to pick to me. I think 5 or 10 would’ve looked better...
