It was 4 to win and I fell short, but I’m OK with that bc I got two subs under 3 minutes each match but lost by points in my last match 🤷🏻‍♀️ It was a tough division and as always, I was the smallest 😝 I want to thank so many people, but I especially want to thank (in no particular order) Amber and Aaron for being my two go-to training partners, Cisco and the Nalezny family for your never-ending support, my work-work peeps for the flexibility for allowing me to miss work (yes, I actually have a real job on top of my job at the gym), Dr Matt and Kayla for always having my back, the guys who cover the gym when we’re gone, the Luna brothers for staying with us last week to not only teach but help me get ready, the students (adults and kids) and families of @lakecountybjj the Burroughs, Vic, and Scott for coming out to Vegas, my lovely masseuses Rosemary and Jennie, my amazing sponsor @fujisportsus I also want to thank Nick and @bjj_tees for everything you guys do for me, my family, and the school, I want to thank the Kid for everything he sacrifices and for being my training partner, Benny, Jason, Angie, and Lou for taking care of my babies Gordinho and Ian, Lou for everything you do for the gym and my family, and as always my wonderful husband and coach @carlosarchila1 It was a rough start in the morning, but I could not do this without you. If you’re still reading, I want you to know that some mom who works a full time desk job, who hardly has any time for herself bc she’s off running to teach class after work, who tries to make time to answer questions, help out as much as she cans, checks in on you, who has to be ON all the time, who spends her weekends running around doing errands for both her family and school, who managed to move an entire household a month right before Worlds, and who barely gets to train (but knows how to train efficiently and effectively) can do this!
