POV (harry)

“Harry?” 

Harry turns away from the bathroom mirror at the sound of Louis’s voice entering the hotel room. He comes out of the bathroom, toothbrush still in his mouth and toothpaste dribbling down his chin. He should’ve done something about that first.

As soon as he lays eyes on Louis, he can feel that something’s wrong. He’s always been able to read Louis easily, no matter how hard he tried to hide his emotions. “Louis, hey,” he says hesitantly. He watches Louis face immediately fall as soon as he speaks, making him tense up. “What’s going on?” he asks, unable to rid the uneasy feeling in his stomach.

He watches has Louis takes a deep breath and lifts his phone, showing Harry the picture displaying on it. He immediately goes still when he sees the picture of him and Paige on the screen, then begins to rush for an explanation.

“I- Louis, listen,” he begins, avoiding eye contact with Louis as he speaks. He sees Louis lower his phone slowly out of the corner of his eye and the guilt quickly begins to take over him. “I don’t know how that picture got out. I talked to Paige and...She says her friend posted it, I didn’t know someone took a picture.” Harry takes the toothbrush out of his mouth and wipes the foam off of his mouth with the back of his had before continuing to speak. “It was a mistake, it wasn’t supposed to happen. We were both drunk and didn’t know what was happening. I’m so sorry, Lou. I love you. I didn’t mean it-” Harry’s interrupted by Louis shaking his head and leaving the room without saying anything.

Harry rushing to go after him, being stopped by Zayn outside of the room. “Zayn, now’s not the fucking time,” he tells him, going to move past him. Zayn blocks him off again and he groans in frustration as he hears the elevator doors open and close.

“You’re the last person he’s gonna want to see right now,” Zayn says and as much as it hurts, Harry knows that he’s right. “You fucked up.”

“Yeah, no shit Zayn,” Harry mutters, glancing back down the hallway in hopes that Louis will be coming back down from the elevators. Except, he realizes that it’s only wishful thinking.

Zayn doesn’t say anything else to him, walking off in the direction of the elevators and leaving Harry standing outside of the hotel room.
