Here’s my finished collage from digital to analogue!

I used a variety of green cutouts from magazines.

Light pink anti aging creams and beauty product advertisements for some of the petals to signify renewal.

I also rolled up paper and post-it notes to act like the buds.

Digital to Analogue Workshop

03/10/22

Today we had a graffic design workshop with Sharon Le Gear.

I explored new media's by using newspapers and magazines to make a 2D surface graphic finished piece. I engaged with the learning environment by passing around my composition ideas to my peers for them to choose what photo looks best. They liked this photo because the leaves look like wings.

My chosen photo was of one of my peers - (Sasha) hanging from the tree . This suited our project them as they were "Temporarily" hanging in the air.

I didn't get a chance to do the transparent paper wings or the branches made of yarn due to timing.

During the process I communicated with my peers and the lecturer, asking for their opinions and thoughts. I then reflected and adjusted my magazine cuts before glueing them.

I loved this workshop as it changed my perspective on photos and what you can manipulate them and be creative with their composition.

Material Experimentation: Transparent Transfer Paper Part 2

I got bored of just folding Transparent paper so i added color to it with alcohol markers to see what layering he colors would do.

Then I decided to weave it to see how all of the colors overlap

Book binding workshop

I did the book binding workshop yesterday. I kept a theme of colors that i see in the sky to keep it related to my project.

Workshop with lecturer Sharon, "Digital to Analogue".

We were put into groups of 4 and essentially went out to take 4 pictures of the environment around us with our phones to capture anything that resembles the theme "temporary". As a group, we decided which images we should create final pieces with, which mine ended up being image 3.

The workshop was interesting in the way of trying different media to illustrate an abstract version of our photos.
