First Love = Math Building Hmm... I remembered that one extra credit question: why is still called a "building" when it's already finished? Hehe. But I forgot my answer. LOL.
Building Tour – Henrietta Harvey (Math) Building
The Henrietta Harvey building, more commonly known as the Math building, is home to the Math Department, Math Help Centre, Information Technology Services (ITS) and the Maritime History Archive. It is also the final of the original four academic buildings we’ve profiled on our building tours blog series.
The building has undergone change over the years. When it first opened in 1961 it was home to the University Library and in January 1970 the building was named in honour of Henrietta Harvey, a generous benefactor of the University.
If you’re looking for help on your latest math assignment, make sure to take advantage of the Math Help Centre in HH-3015. Also on the third floor you’ll find a number of drop boxes where your math prof may ask you to “hand-in” your assignment each week.
If you visit first floor you’ll find the Maritime History Archive. The archive collects and preserves documents relating to the history of maritime activities in Newfoundland and Labrador and throughout the North Atlantic world.
Make sure to check out the other buildings in our building tour series, including the other original four buildings: Arts & Administration, Science and Physical Education.
