For the love of Numbers: Ramanujan & National Mathematics Day

A quick thought today:

It’s December 22nd.

A day to remember Srinivasa Ramanujan – the man who played with infinite series and modular equations like a poet plays with words.

A self-taught genius who mailed his theorems to G.H. Hardy and changed mathematics forever.

His birth anniversary is our National Mathematics Day.

Why does it matter?

Because his story screams that passion beats pedigree. That intuition can dance with logic. That a mind, when obsessed with a beautiful problem, can see patterns invisible to the rest of the world.

He didn’t just calculate; he revealed.

On this day, let’s ditch the “I hate math” vibe for a second. Think of math as Ramanujan did – as the secret language of the cosmos. A puzzle. An art form.

Sending respect to the legendary soul. And a hopeful, number-positive wish to all of you on National Mathematics Day.
