On the last page of the new chapter there seems to be some kind of crystalized ceremony in a temple in the background? Wth?

THIS THING!?! 👀

Unknown (woo more mysterious world-building lore!), but it looks like some sort of sacrificial altar or place of worship to me. Shown with humans offering up...various things, ermm *squints* like babies, fish, drink, and animals...D8 Towards a growing, Orochi-like eldritch abomination monster. How ironic the current Orochi (seemingly) meets his end here instead...o.o;;

So you actually kinda put me on the spot so I don’t have fanart of them (yet), but one of them is called “Forgotten” whose backstory is basically “Was the actual hero and supposed to save the world, kinda failed, I am now the big bad and my friends are all semi-bosses for the new team of “heroes””.

Most stories I think up (because god knows I never write anything down) is of Forgotten being like a retired “evil” boss just chilling with the new team and being a menace.

“What do you MEAN I can’t just turn the store clerk to stone to get all the wares? You know this was easier when I was a boss.”
