do you have any tips or resources for studying for math SL? (im assuming you’re doing old curriculum, and the curriculum change for may 2021 exams are irrelevant to you, so just any resources you’ve personally used for math?)
to be honest, my main resource were past papers!
just to illustrate, my teacher gave us the may 2019 papers to practice and it was incredibly different from any other past paper i've ever done before (i'm pretty sure IB decided to change the style of questions alongside with the syllabus, so the questions of this session looked very different from the ones of the past few years. i really recommend checking it out). even though i'm very familiar with the material since i'll finish the diploma soon, i had a really hard time with that paper. what i'm trying to say is that, even though you may be familiar with the material, looking at the largest range of questions possible is the best way to revise so you won't be too surprised at the day of your exam.
i have some files saved with 70+ questions of past papers per topic, so when i want to study a specific topic, i just open its respective file and complete some questions. (some of those files were given by my teacher and others were found on reddit/other websites, so they're not that hard to find online).
as for actually learning the material, i pretty much only used my textbook and practiced by completing the questions they provide before moving on to past papers. my school uses the oxford one, so that's the one i used. however, i've also used the pearson's book in the past, and i think it's really good and thorough as well.
as for an additional tip, you can try checking out revisionvillage. i haven't actually used it myself, but my classmate was browsing through it today and showing it to me and it has a lot of resources, from free video lessons and past paper questions rated by difficulty and organized by topic! she said it's helped her a lot, so i think it's worth trying it out.
best of luck! ✨
