Mandelbrot Fractal Zoom
You may wonder what it is. The Mandelbrot set is an infinititely complex, self similar shape on a two dimentional plane. In order to see the self similarity of finer and finer detail, animations can be made, such as the one below from Olbaid Fractalium and Maths Town, where each frame shows a smaller and smaller portion of the plane. The consensus is that theoretical fractals are infinitely self-similar, iterated, and detailed mathematical constructs having fractal dimensions, of which many examples have been formulated and studied in great depth. Fractals are not limited to geometric patterns, but can also describe processes in time. They are so beautiful.
