just some Agoric vocabulary
(a)troglam "lit. 'affixed upon a metal rod'", a complex term used in Spherus Magnan architecture (metal substructure reinforcement), biology (metallic skeletal structure) and weaponry (impalement by a spear). = from Old Agoric atraæklam < Proto-Agoric ad(ə)-saækl-m, from ad(ə)- "upon" combined with sa-ækl "metal rod" (sa "stick, line" and ækl "shining, glittering"), marked by dat.sg. -m;
(a)troglamus, derived from atroglam "affixed upon a metal rod", originally used in reference to an object or effigy mounted upon a spike/spear, later as a term for a battle standard/flag or military ensign.
(a)troglamori, a plural form of (a)troglamus, used as a collective term (cf. agus ~ agori); originally refers to the practice of mounting effigies as warnings of danger or territory markers, later extended to soldiers fallen in battle (i.e. those pierced by weaponry), and finally incorporating "military ensignry", with notions of display/pageantry.
(a)troglamorph "(rod) puppet, small effigy", (cf. <(a)troglamorv> in normalized Matoran spelling), a disfixation of (a)troglamorva, coined in the post-Unity period, from Agoric (a)troglamori "effigies" and Matoric va "lesser, small".
= Used in reference to small puppet-like figures, sometimes mounted on a short pole, frequently assembled from individual pieces in modular fashion. Such figures are known to have been crafted by the ancient Matoran as toys for younger generations of Agori in the post-Unity period.
