Rockcide’s brand new Pioneerof the Nile filly got her first taste of the outdoors
Rockcide is a half-sister to Kentucky Derby hero, Funny Cide. As a racehorse she ran 16 times, but never quite managed to win.
She wasn’t a successful runner herself, but has been a damn good producer. Of her 6 foals old enough to race, 5 have hit the track and all 5 have been winners. Rule has been her best so far; he won over $1million from 20 races. His biggest wins came in the G2 Monmouth Cup, G3 Delta Jackpot & G3 Sam Davis. Rockcide’s other graded stakes winner is Matrooh. He won the G3 Bold Ruler and is still active at 7yrs old.
