I would, but we can't seem to find it! (It's been in my house for a while now.) Also, I'm pretty sure it was in my roommate's room, and it'd be kind of weird to just walk into his room while he's sleeping to take a picture of a frog. If I find it though, I'll send you a picture :)

I love frogs. I used to have a couple as pets. I'm a terrible pet owner, so they died, but that's a completely different story. It's a bullfrog though, I think, so it's really loud and just a really odd thing to hear at 7 in the morning.

It already is kind of my friend, by extension. We first found out about the frog when I stopped my roommate from having sex, because it was croaking and staring at him in his room while he was trying to get it on. Since my roommate is always doing that, and is really loud about it, I consider the frog an ally by default.

Fog would have been so much better/surreal. I wish just random fogs appeared in my house/buildings generally. That'd be great.

A little: I took an introductory class to aid my martial arts because I had trouble moving my hips I never got the knack of some of the more vigorous hip motions.

Now, though, I can do some fairly fluid hip rotations and rolls.

A martial art NEEDS to be an expression of your inner self. If it is not, then it will not come naturally to you and you will struggle on the martial path. The easiest way to figure out what arts are best for you is to go observe a class, look at the motions that they are doing, ask the sensei about the philosophy behind the martial art. If it is something that resonates within you on a personal level, try it out.

For me, Aikido came naturally as a physical expression of the awareness of relations that I had been looking for. It helped that I had been training in "hard" martial arts for twelve years before Aikido so the softer art offered me something new to try. Shinkendo also came naturally as it is focused on extending into space and advancing forwards.

The martial arts that I practice are all expressions of some part of my inner self: taken together, they express a unified whole of my inner being, and that is why they have never felt forced or unnatural. They accord with me.

In short, find the art that resonates with you and do it. Not every martial art will be immediately practical, however, and you should not let that stop you.
