In the matsutale, how would the Matsu feel if they saw almost Monster Kid fall off a bridge and be rescued by the human, adult. And if after that she scolds him a little for not being careful and shares a candy bar or a sweet to cheer him up.(I LOVE THIS AU)
hhh i’m so glad u like this au i’m ;;; also sorry that it took me so long 2 answer this aaa
oso would probably not hate the human as much, but he’s had a pretty rough past with those up top. saving one monster definitely wouldn’t be enough to get on his good side (...but maybe it’d convince him to not kill them)
kara wouldn’t really “see” it, though he wouldn’t be trying to kill the human in the first place. he’d be happy nonetheless
choro would be happy, but still wary. while he isn’t one of the ones trying to kill the human, seeing them around monsters makes him nervous
ichi would be shocked, considering that this is a human that we’re talking about. oso had told him that all humans are bad, look what happened to his horn - but this one was saving another monster? he’d be confused, and a bit more hostile until he could sort himself out
jyushi would be ecstatic - see? humans can be good! he’d probably try to get closer to the human despite choro’s warnings that “maybe they’re doing it for themself...” but kara would be slightly encouraging, though he’d stick close in case something went wrong
todo wouldn’t really know what to think. he’d be both happy that mk was safe but also...humans were awful, right? nothing but monster killers, so they shouldn’t be trusted. ...right?
[ matsutale ]
here, some proof that im still working on matsutale
i need more matsutale,,,,,
:000 ARE YOU SERIOUS OMGGG I’ve been thinking about doing more but I kinda just thought everyone forgot about it. If I have time I will definitely do another little comic :3
Matsutale is really interesting! Does The Ruins exist in this au? And by extension, is there a Toriel-equivalent character? If so, what if the human decided to stay in the underground for a while, living quietly in the ruins? I assume some of the brothers wouldn't be too happy if they ever found out,,,,
thank u! i combined two of my interests and then fell in love :D
the ruins sort of exists. and by that, i mean that it’s...well, not really much of anything except for rubble. there aren’t any working puzzles, everything is permanently solved, there are barely - if any - monsters that even still try to live there.
karamatsu is also the most like a toriel-character in here, since he can feel any kind of changes in the underground - given he’s close enough to feel it. he does check the ruins on a weekly basis, though if he’s close by (on the border of snowden) he’s able to feel if something happens, whether it’s a human falling down or a monster being dusted. it’s a weird, geode/space-elemental kind of thing going on (i really haven’t figured him out that much, but basically as long as he’s touching the ground and in range he can feel whatever’s going on)
in theory, the human could stay in the ruins for...maybe a day or two, at the most. even if karamatsu brings them food and the like from where he lives, it’s really not suggested to stay there for longer than they should, since osomatsu (along with ichimatsu) like taking trips back to the ruins every now and then. (todomatsu would go along, if he wasn’t water-bound.)
What would be the ideal "good ending" of matsutale? Does the human break through the shell of the "bad" matsuno bros and befriend them? Or will they remain spiteful of humans?
the Ideal Ending is the human finding where the other souls are being kept and using the power of those souls, along with their own, in order to break through the barrier and not die.
it takes a lot longer than it might seem to even scratch the surface: for oso, there would be close to no chance of a human ever being close to him again, unless they were his “pet.” he has a broken horn for a reason, you know? for ichi and todo... ichi would get more hostile before anything, since oso taught him that “all humans are bad, look what happened to me!” but eventually, he’d come around. todo would just be confused, because same situation - oso taught him humans were bad, humans apparently arent bad...then what?w
out of all of them, oso would be the most likely to remain spiteful. he was wronged, and if his only brothers turn on him, too? it’s the human’s fault. always
(Sorry I felt it best to put this in a different ask) Does matsutale have an antagonist? Like, is there an equivalent to flowey, or even asgore?
it’s ok!
i’d say osomatsu is the “main antagonist.” he’s doing all he can to mess the human up, even if the human does nothing to harm any other monsters. he’s spiteful, and he wants them to know. he’s brutal in what he does, and it’s best to avoid an encounter altogether if you can.
karamatsu would be a sort of “pacifist flowey.” karamatsu does his best to be with the human throughout the entire underground as best he can, both to warn them about danger and to make sure they even have a chance to survive. (he has to intercept...a lot of fights with oso.)
