Nah I don't think you're making her out to be worse than she actually is, I'm 100% convinced that that she was a big orchestrator of that night and Matt was her puppet, she probably manipulated him by harnessing his anger in some way. I was actually surprised by the version of events she told Addy, cuz I was sure that by the end of the book it would be revealed that she was behind it all...

Same hat, my friend, same hat. 

I guess I’m not necessarily surprised by the version of events she gave Addy since like, I can see Colette lying to Addy more. She does that a lot. Gold Medal Olympian in the Lying to Addy Tournament. But I am surprised that it wasn’t revealed that what she told Addy was a lie. 

Oh well, I guess. I suppose leaving it ambiguous suits the style of the book.
