Robert McGinnis ink study/recreation line art piece. This was an interesting study; in taking McGinnis' painted work and transferring it to a brush and ink study, I mean. The colour version is my attempt to recreate digitally what McGinnis originally did with tempera paint. All in all an interesting study for me. Robert Edward McGinnis (born February 3, 1926) is an American artist and illustrator. I’ve released this #littlefreelibrary find back into the wild; Donald Hamilton’s “Murderers’ Row” was a fun, slightly trashy but well written noir take on the spy thriller; while it certainly shows its 1962 publication date in many ways, it has a couple of surprisingly strong female characters and a three dimensional lead. The other Matt Helm books at Dreamhaven were priced $10 to $20, so this appears to be somewhat collectible, but I think there should be more books like this in the library boxes so it’s back out for someone else to discover.
