On the basis of these “signs of the times”
“The blind receive their sight, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, and the poor have good news brought to them.” Matthew 11:5
On the basis of these “signs of the times” the Jewish leaders should have realized that the great, decisive event in history had occurred with the coming of the Messiah. Their refusal to discern these signs was their condemnation.
