A Little Too Much Fun? || Matthew & Adrianna
An hour into the party and it was already going as planned, Adrianna noticed as she began to descend the staircase. Pausing when she reached the half way point, she placed her hand on the railing and looked around. Her living room was already filled with people, some she recognized, some she didn't. It didn't matter to her. People were people, and soon enough she would know a lot more about some of then they would want her to know. However, as she scanned the crowd, she couldn't help but see a flash of a ruby red color. Her eyes immediately darted to it, and she saw what she warned people that they shouldn't do: someone was wearing a costume similar to hers.
A look of determination entered her eyes as she marched down the stairs, and made her way to the culprit. Taking a cup of beer out of someone's hand as she moved through the crowd, Adrianna kept her eyes on the moving target. When she was just mere few feet away, was when she picked up her pace just a bit. She didn't want the girl to actually think it was Ade who ruined her costume, because she didn't feel like getting into any drama with anyone just yet. So she went with another plan. Tipping the cup just slightly, Ade started walking again. However as she approached the girl, she didn't stop walking to confront her. Instead, as she passed the girl who's back was to her, she just quickly pulled at the string of the red cloak that was holding it on the girl and walked away, never letting the string go so it followed behind her. Disappearing into the crowd, she made her way out and kicked the cloak underneath a coach. She then made her way back to the girl and this time when she passed by her who was now wondering where her cloak had gone, Adrianna acted as if someone had pushed her, and purposefully spilled the drink all over the other woman's costume. Putting on a show of innocence, Adrianna apologized and went on her way, a smirk on her lips as to what she just did.
In other situation, she would of been proud to take credit for ruining someone's outfit. However, she not only wanted to avoid drama so soon, but she needed to put on an act of friendliness for the night. How else would people feel welcomed to participate in the festivities if she didn't welcome them properly? Others would think she purposefully would of done something that would cause them to not want to participate. So she had to play it safe, and be nice. Which would be easy to do considering she had told a certain man that she would do just that. Or rather, she would be fun around him for the evening. And usually when she was having fun with someone who wasn't in her family, she couldn't be a bitch. Besides, her parents' wouldn't allow her to act like a bitch on a night like this. This was their welcoming event, to let the town get to know them. And acting as she has been to everyone to the past few weeks wasn't going to fly tonight. They made sure she knew that.
Wondering if the man she was thinking of earlier had arrived yet, Ade made her way to the front door, making herself a drink as she passed by the kitchen first. To be the perfect host, you'd have to greet your guests. So she decided to do just that for a little while to take up her time. Once she made it to the door that was propped open for the night, Adrianna stepped outside, a whip of cold air hitting her. She found herself momentarily hating the fact that she wore such a skimpy outfit for the night. But she was the one who wanted to dress as Little Red Riding Hood, so she knew it was her fault. Her outfit for the night consisted of a black and white corset attached to a short red skirt, most of her bare legs showing as well as her entire arms showing. The only thing that provided her warmth out of her costume was the blood red cloak she had. However, she decided against using the small one that came with the costume, but instead went with a much longer one the reached the middle of her thighs. Her shoes were black heels, her make up subtle to give off an innocent appearance; her hair curled a bit to form curvy waves in her hair. And, to top it all off, she decided to wear a red and black mask as a twist. Why? Simply because she loved masks, and the mysterious quality they added to her. Not to mention it gave her little costume a twist. A disguised Little Red? No one thought about that.
Taking her post nearby the door, she began to put on an act of friendliness, smiling and greeting everyone into the party, all the while her eyes reaming vigilant, seeking out familiar faces; specifically the face that belonged to a dark haired, attractive, yet somewhat blan, history teacher by the name Matthew.
