The life I love.... (Matthew 4:1-11; Matthew 6:19-24)
The life I love promises kingdoms.
Pleasure and its splendor,
for my own allegiance that it's already received
It says, bow down, like you are
just do what you are already doing
his allegiance he had every right to receive
Tempting to the event he could avoid
but Jesus he said, 'Satan, no more'
Will your eyes ever be haughty again?
Fixed on the darkness and its pleasure?
Will your heart be invaded by moths and destroyed?
Where some can come and take it all away
Or could these treasures last the heavenly forever .
To lose your life is to gain
to bow down and worship Jesus, the king
saying bow down, worship me
with knees bent towards Satan enough
Because the life, you love.
