So here’s some recent work I’ve done that I am not sure if I’ve posted on here yet. Long story short, I’ve recently lost my job, and am trying to make as much money off of my art as possible. That being said, I’m offering commission work for cheap, most prices for originals being between $100-200. I have recently created a Patreon account, which is essentially a Kickstarter-type platform for artists and other creative humans. Instead of donating a certain amount of money for a large project, you help fund the life of an artist through smaller scale, monthly donations that are then rewarded with different things. We had a pipe burst at my work that destroyed a good chunk of the walls and flooring of the restaurant upstairs and the bar downstairs and our company took it as an opportunity to do huge renovations. Their insurance covers our loss wages and they’re fighting to have our tips covered as well! I think we’re aiming to re-open at the beginning of april? I picked up a few odd jobs here and there but I’ve mostly been bumming around and since we’ve just recovered from some of the worst weather I’ve seen thus far in Toronto it’s been hard to really be pro-active with this time off. I wish I used this as an opportunity to do lots of cool shit and travel but the uncertainty of my cash flow and general unpredictability of this has led me to become more of a hermit that I usually am
