Matthew Stafford Shines with 4 TDs as Rams Take Down 49ers 42-26 🏈🔥 | QuickTV Sports Replay
Matthew Stafford’s red-hot streak continues, and this time, he delivered a historic performance as the Los Angeles Rams crushed the San Francisco 49ers 42-26. Stafford threw four touchdown passes in a game that not only showcased his elite skills but also set a new NFL record. With this win, the Rams extended their streak to four straight victories and remain tied for first in the NFC West. If you missed it, don't worry — QuickTV SPORTS REPLAY has all the highlights from this dominant win!
Stafford Making History and Having a Blast 😎🔥
It wasn’t just the touchdowns that had fans buzzing. Stafford was in full command, and his fourth TD pass was capped with a cheeky shimmy shake — a sign that the veteran QB is not only breaking records but enjoying every second on the field. "I was having a good time," Stafford said after the game. "I lose my mind when we score touchdowns.” And who can blame him?
Stafford has been on fire this season, leading the NFL with 25 touchdown passes, and over the last six games, he’s thrown 20 TDs with no interceptions. To top it off, this game marked his third consecutive week with four touchdown passes and zero interceptions — an achievement never before seen in NFL history.
Rams head coach Sean McVay raved about Stafford’s control of the game. "It looks like the game is really in slow motion to him right now," McVay said. And with Stafford’s pinpoint passing, the Rams’ offense looks unstoppable, scoring at an unprecedented pace.
Rams' Offense Lights Up the Scoreboard 💥🚀
Los Angeles wasted no time setting the tone in this matchup. On their first eight drives, they scored touchdowns on six of them — a statement of their dominance from the first whistle. Stafford was locked in, connecting with a variety of targets including Davante Adams, Puka Nacua, Davis Allen, and Colby Parkinson. And let's not forget Kyren Williams, who added two touchdown runs, contributing to the Rams’ high-powered offensive display.
Adams, a former MVP teammate of Aaron Rodgers, was all praise for Stafford’s performance. "It’s looked like MVP play to me all year to be honest," Adams said. The chemistry between Stafford and his receiving corps is undeniable, and with the way they’re clicking, the Rams’ offense is one of the most potent in the league.

49ers Struggling Without Their Star Defenders 😢🩹
The 49ers came into this game with a lot of adversity. Missing key players like Nick Bosa and Fred Warner, as well as rookie Mykel Williams, San Francisco was already fighting an uphill battle. Despite a solid effort from quarterback Mac Jones, who threw for 319 yards and three touchdowns, the 49ers couldn’t slow down Stafford and the Rams’ offensive juggernaut.
San Francisco’s offense moved the ball well at times but was undone by mistakes like Jauan Jennings’ fumble and a failed fourth-down attempt in the red zone, where Christian McCaffrey was stuffed by Rams linebacker Byron Young. “We thought we could slow them down and find a way to get them off on third down. We obviously didn’t do that very well,” said 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan.
For fans wanting a breakdown of the defensive struggles and key Rams' plays, QuickTV SPORTS REPLAY offers a full replay of the game, highlighting where the 49ers lost ground and how the Rams took control.
Early Surge Puts the Rams in Control ⚡💨
The Rams came out of the gate on fire, scoring touchdowns on their first three possessions. By the second quarter, they had already built a commanding 21-0 lead. Stafford’s pinpoint throws and the Rams’ aggressive playcalling left the 49ers scrambling to catch up. Even when Mac Jones connected with Jauan Jennings for a 6-yard touchdown late in the first half, it didn’t shake the Rams’ momentum.
The teams traded touchdowns in the second half, but Stafford and the Rams’ offense were relentless, finishing strong with a 42-26 win. Kyren Williams’ two touchdown runs and Stafford’s fourth TD pass were the final blows that put the game out of reach for San Francisco.
For anyone who missed the action, QuickTV SPORTS REPLAY has the entire game covered, including Stafford’s record-breaking throws and the key moments that defined the Rams’ dominant win.
Rams’ Mental Toughness on Display 💪🔥
One of the most impressive things about the Rams in this game was their mental toughness. Even when the 49ers made a run, the Rams stayed focused and didn’t let up. Coach McVay was quick to praise the team’s resilience: "They stay connected through the good and through the challenging moments. I love this group."
With Stafford playing at an MVP level and the team firing on all cylinders, the Rams look like a force to be reckoned with as they head into the second half of the season. Stafford’s milestones — including reaching 400 career touchdown passes — are fueling the team’s confidence.
Rams’ Path to NFC West Glory 🏆🔝
The Rams (7-2) are now tied with Seattle atop the NFC West, and with Stafford playing at such a high level, they’re in a great position to make a deep playoff run. The 49ers (6-4) will need to regroup quickly if they want to stay in contention for the division title. But for now, the Rams are cruising, and Stafford’s historic performance is just another reminder of how dangerous this team has become.

Rams find symmetry at OTAs
Woodland Hills, CA (News4usOnline) - The Los Angeles Rams kicked off their organized team activities (OTAs) with some fresh new faces and with some familiar ones as well. One of the latest additions to the tight end room is former Oregon hybrid Terrance Ferguson. Ferguson was drafted by the Rams in the second round with the 46th pick overall in the 2025 NFL Draft. He made a good impression on Rams head coach Sean McVay. “Terrance has been good,” McVay said. “Really today was the first day that we could do 11-on-11. These guys got here a couple weeks ago, seen a guy that's been really attentive in meetings, got a really good feel. Really it's routes on air and then what we saw today, which is a limited body of work, but just been really impressed with him and really the rookie class as a whole.

Photo credit: Dennis J. Freeman/News4usOnline “Our vets have done a good job welcoming these guys with open arms but looking forward to seeing him just continue to take it a step at a time. (Tight Ends Coach Scott) “Scooter” Huff does a great job with our tight ends. So far, so good,” McVay added. There are a lot of storylines and interests around the Rams as they prepare this summer for the 2025 NFL regular season. After all, the Rams had the eventual Super Bowl LIX champs - the Philadelphia Eagles - on the brink of a possible upset in the divisional round of an NFC playoff game last season. McVay and the Rams superseded expectations last season. That will not be the case in 2025. Due to their success in 2024 and their current personnel makeup, the Rams are expected to contend for the NFC title. Without question, LA is one of the elite teams in the conference. A key free agency pickup and exemplary picks in the NFL Draft give credence to the thought that the Rams can be THAT team in the NFC. Davante Adams, the mercurial wide receiver, has now been paired up with Puka Nacua to give the Rams a formidable receiving tandem. The return of Tutu Atwell gives Los Angeles another downfield field burner who can stretch defenses. Last season, the Rams were just one playmaker away from expanding an already creative offense. Adding Adams, who once starred for the Green Bay Packers, Las Vegas Raiders, and New York Jets, to a backfield that includes Nacua, quarterback Matthew Stafford, and running back Kyren Williams makes LA’s offense highly potent. His physical attributes notwithstanding, Adams has won over McVay by fitting into the team's concept seamlessly.

Freeman/News4usOnline “I think the first thing I've been really impressed with his willingness to share, his openness and his refreshing humility in terms of being coached but then being able to offer his insight,” McVay remarked. “It's fun to be able to listen to…he and Matthew have a dialogue of their accumulated experiences and getting on the same page for how they want to be able to do things. But he's been great.” “Similar to what I was just saying about Terrence, but he's been great in the meetings, incredibly detail-oriented. You can see how smart he is,” McVay went on to say. “There are a couple things that are new in terms of the vernacular, but a lot of this stuff is same as or maybe just a couple subtle tweaks. But his ability to be able to learn, his ability to be able to listen and then ultimately lead has been a big factor.” As a wide receiver, Adams has it all. He’s big. He’s fast. He has an uncoachable twitch. He can do things with the football that not too many people can, and that’s why he is the premier wideout in the game. It was only one day of OTAs, but Stafford enjoyed the symmetry with Adams. “Oh, it was good,” Stafford commented on that connection. “It's always a work in progress. We're always talking out there, which is a lot of fun. A guy that's a veteran player, has played a lot of football, and had a lot of success, so it's fun just trying to communicate as much as I can with him. Obviously, he’s made some great plays today but it's fun to work with guys that understand the game and still have a lot left in the tank. So, it was good.” Read the full article
