i already knew, before today, that i loved this song — let alone James Murphy’s other works — but it really just clicked. i was walking toward the library, watching the song delicately color the sky (as it starts out quite soft), when i decided to take the long route. i have to work on two essays tonight to be able to finish them on time and the weight of that sinks me lower into the ground with every passing moment. but this song provided eight minutes of solace for me, and then eight more, and i came to the conclusion that this is one of the greatest songs ever made.
