Maureen Epps
September 13, 2019
Why does everyone sleep on Maureen Epps? She’s a badass, didn’t mean to be action hero who fights ghosts and demons while still having a personality. She’s a human who only signed up to help haul in the abandoned ship and becomes this awesome heroine. Like, she’s in a pretty masculine field, surrounded by guys but no one makes a big deal that she’s a woman and she’s the second in command on the team with a strong leadership role. She’s just awesome, and, this is gonna sound weird, but I like that she’s not framed all sexy-like, she’s just a tough woman that isn’t framed like she’s some kind of freak, with Maureen, her gender is completely irrelevant. I watch this movie solely for Maureen if I’m totally honest.
