Oh here’s a funny one. We had a kin that we knew we would kin before we even knew THE PLOT OF THE FILM.
We were meaning to watch it anyway on a friend recommendation, but we had watched a TV show which starred a certain actor, right? And we looked on Tumblr to see what people said about it. Some people were comparing who that actor played to their character in this film.
Now, I had some knowledge of this film. I knew it was an adaptation of a novel about being gay in the Edwardian times. I also knew, based on who that actor played in the TV show, this character would probably be a bit on the asshole side. I looked up some photos of him and… yeah I immediately figured it out.
Watching the film was not effective. In fact I have gotten worse. /ref
