she's a chicago native.
she's the bubbliest and cutest lil thing you've ever seen.
she used to be a waitress but she teaches art classes at a community center now, and has sold a few sketches to magazines.
(just as well. she was worried she'd have to start doing cariactures for money.)
she never went to college, just a few art classes for fun at community college.
she's married.
she's not happy.

he's a midwest boy, born and bred.
he was the cleverest, wittiest boy in the small minnesota town he grew up in, and to be quite honest, coming to chicago for undergrad was something of a shock to his system.
he's always wanted to be a doctor. always. except for a brief interlude during which he wanted to be captain america.
he's a manchild, basically. he'd still love to be captain america.
he's dynamic and charming and has no problem making friends, but hanging out with them is kind of a problem? he's young and unmarried, so he works a lot of overnight shifts so the doctors with families can go home but that makes it kind of hard to schedule dates when the best time for him to grab coffee has traditionally been like 2:30 in the afternoon?

he owns a bar - the long hop - which isn't far from wrigley field.
that sounds impressive, but it was his father's bar. chris started doing the day-to-day operations when his father got too sick to even take inventory at the end of the night. he took complete control when his father passed away in 2012.
the long hop is still mostly in the style his father decorated it in, when he opened the bar in the 80s.
chris is sentimental. he gives seemingly insignificant things deeper meaning. he doesn't want to get rid of anything his father put in the bar, and he gets upset when he has to.
he has a certain knack for running a pub. he's good at creating regulars, and building relationships with the patrons in the bar. he's surprised at how much he likes the work.
the long hop gives out free popcorn. so there's that.
