Sometimes I can still feel how She cradled my face oh so gently or how She used to braid my hair when it had been longer.

I remember Her warm hands preening my wings, She was always so gentle and motherly when it came to us younglings

Sometimes when i smoke it comes back to me and I can feel Her warm touch again. Makes me sad knowing I probably won't get that back...its just simply been too long

I wish to be with the mother who cradled my face so gently, who spoke so softly. And I suppose that could be because I was just so new to life, being freshly "hatched" n all

She used to sing hymns that I couldn't understand, She'd hum melodies to get us to sleep. It was always like being wrapped in a cozy blanket, yk, so warm and safe.

She's there in my dreams sometimes, just watching. over me? Perhaps, but I don't know. But it's nice nevertheless
