I’m just realizing now that we never actually got to see Arthur find out that Morgana has magic? it happens sometime in the time skip between s3/s4? what I would GIVE to have seen him find out. who had to tell him? was it Merlin?

because it’s “the destiny of a great kingdom.” not “the destiny of a great king.” Merlin’s duty was always supposed to be to Albion and magic but he chose Arthur over magic time and time again. with sins of the father. the disir. do you hear me. he saw Arthur as a person instead of a tool that could help him return magic to Albion and at the end of the day he cared more about Arthur doing what he felt was right than he did any prophecy.

#and then he was rewarded for ignoring his duty to magic with Arthur’s death #because if he hadn’t been so fixed on saving Arthur he would have told Arthur to legalize magic in the Disir #in changing his duty Merlin became Arthur’s bane #how am I supposed to be normal about this #bbc merlin #max attack
